²⁶ They brought out the pillars of the temple of Baal and burned them. ²⁷ Then they tore down the stone pillar of Baal. They also tore down the temple of Baal. They made it into a sewage pit, and it is still one today.

²⁸ So Jehu destroyed Baal worship in Israel.
